Attorney Patrick Spott was quoted in the January/February 2011 issue of The Duluthian magazine regarding his past service as Chair of the Board of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. Spott was interviewed for the article entitled, "Critical Mass: A Multi-Year Strategy to Grow Chamber Members' Visibility and Influence is Paying Off" along with Duluth Mayor Don Ness, State Senator Roger Reinert and Chamber President David Ross. Spott focused his comments on the positive role the Chamber has played in "nuts and bolts" issues critical to economic development, avoiding ideological debates and divisiveness. Mayor Ness cited the Duluth Chamber as "The model the Minnesota Chamber and U.S. Chamber should be following."
