Law Clerk Emily Spott Brief Wins Award

Emily Spott, law clerk at the Spott Law Office, was recognized with an award at the Willem C. Vis (East) Moot Court Competition.  Ms. Spott was a member of the four-person team from Hamline University School of Law that submitted a claimant's brief.  The Vis East Competition is held annually in Hong Kong, China.  The Hamline team won an Honorable Mention for their Claimant's Brief.  There are over 80 teams that participate in the Vis (East) Competition.  Ms. Spott's Claimant's Brief was one of the top five best Claimant's briefs.  Ms. Spott is currently preparing to go to Vienna, Austria where she and her teammate, Rick Dold, will comptete in the Vis Moot Court Competition.  The Vienna branch of the competition is in its 18th year and has more than 250 teams competing from all over the world.
